    Came across a surprising trivia point. Who became the first male solo to have all of his first eight singles chart in the UK top 20? The record still stands today.

    Rick Astley's voice was great but this has to be George Michael after leaving Wham and 100 million albums sold!

    it's rick astley, he retired basically after that and made a horrible comeback 10 years ago. about the voice I have doubts, he was at a time where basically all volcals were with that much reverb and other effects that even Stafanie, princess of monaco made it to the charts with a single.

    I think his first five or six singles came from the first album.

    That is pretty common in the music scene (not counting mass-produced kindergarden-bubble gum pop), as you have for your first album "a lifetime" while for the next maximum 2 years.

    I have a german website with a lot of that stuff (not only about music, mainly fun and interesting stuff), well and I was working 13 years in the music business and not all was Rammstein and Maiden...

    Yep, Rick retired at age 27, tried a comeback later. Next trivia will be more difficult. Rhoody is 2 for 2.
