Yes JP, my oldest tat is now 50 years old and my newest is less than one year. I am a firm believer in never have a tattoo that can't be covered by normal clothes. No face, no neck and no hands for me. I do have 6 on each arm, one on my left shoulder, one on my right ankle, one on my left chest and 2 on my legs above the knees. Only one could be considered "dirty" and that is on my left leg above the knee, so my shorts cover it. Actually, most people that see it, don't think about what it means. It is "LXIX", my private joke. For the most part, as you say, they are times and things that I want to remember. I have a large American eagle on my chest. My 3 daughters names in hearts in one tattoo. Of course, 3 Harley tattoos. And my darling wife Mae, is honored in 3 tattoos. Sorry Pat, but I do not have a USMC tattoo.

Oh, and one other thing about my non-conventional lifestyle, that I forgot about, because it is so normal to me, is that I also wear 2 ear rings in my left ear and I have for about 25 years now. But I never wear them when I'm working. Now retired, I wear them all of the time.

Again, ear rings on men is also a subject that causes a lot of "discussion" as to pros and cons.

As Roger astutely posted, we have the right to post and others have the right to reply. That privilege and entitlement to reply carries with it a very thin line that should not be crossed.
You can tell me you don't agree with my post, okay thank you, but you can not tell me my position is wrong without telling me what you believe is correct, okay, tell me and I will consider your reply. Further, you can not tell me what I should do, think, believe or write, and that I should go along with what you are posting instead. That normally results in an FU-type response.

There have been some good debates on this forum, such as for or against owning a gun. There were strong honest expressions both ways and sort of an agreement we can disagree ending. Other posts got unnecessarily nasty and rockets were fired as a result, such as members marrying a young wife. Posts on restaurants we like are interesting to most, even though different tastes and expectations typically end in disagreement, that is okay too.
I agree with Ron's direction on this thread that we should make it fun and less criticism. Just my POV.

Btw, I don't have tatoos or wear earrings (sort of a no no at my former company, IBM), but then again I don't know how to ride a Harley, so go for it Ronv.

Lololol......no tats, no ear rings and can't ride a Harley.....d*mn Pat......

There is an old biker saying that says "there are two types of guys in this world. Those that ride Harleys, and those that wished the did". But then again, there are countless old biker sayings......

A short story for you.... I was riding one Saturday evening just before sunset. I came up to a stop light. Next to me sat a mini-van. In it was the husband driving, the wife sitting next to him and 3 kids under 10 in the back seat. The kids were crying. The wife was yelling and pointing her finger at her husband and just giving him hell and chewing his @ss out for something. He looked over at me and got the saddest looking puppy-dog look on his face. I knew exactly what he was thinking. He would have given anything to trade places with me. So sad. The light changed and I went and had a margarita with friends. Him? He probably went home to a miserable evening. Poor guy.
