Cebu A Stupid Incident at Cebu Pacific Dumaguete Branch

    My friend got late for 10mins of 45mins checking in was not allowed to took the flight and sold his seat to another person and cancelled his ticket in front of him.We beg because my friend got a connecting flight abroad at Manila but as if the cebu pacific agent name Mylene at the airport dont seem to care, there was NO CUSTOMER CARE. Ok, being late for 10mins of 45mins "check in", it's a customers fault and we admit it. But saying "no tickets for sale for 2 days reason: (fully booked)" is not an excuse, and we beg to double check in your computer if there is, but still the answer is fully booked. Then how come on that night we bought a ticket scheduled the nextday for cebu pacific dgte -manila outside your office, wasn't you the main office here in dgte??? what the heck! Shape up! You'll be loosing customers in the future.

    My style in your case

    Sir, I never wait till next time for anyone. Several years ago, I ordered some nice porkchops that were on display in Bethel Hotel's restaurant downstairs. They arrived at my table minus the bones. I enjoy chewing the meat off the bone cause I'm like a dog, I guess. So I was really p__sed. Who knows how much of the meat was missing? Did the workers eat some of it? There is no way to tell when the bone is missing. I promise you, I never ate there again and I tell everyone I happen to be with when I'm walking the boulevard. I do a really good job of letting the truth ring out year after year. So now, even you know how chincy the Bethel Hotel's customer dealings are. I'm not advertising. I'm sending you a restaurant review and encouraging you to be yourself. Why let people screw you over? This is just one of many stories of inappropriate behavior I've encountered there in Dumaguete. Its, not how much you have...its how much you enjoy that makes happiness...so enjoy the sun. I'm in Alaska freezing my buns off cause I'm not as lucky as you.

    The people are great there, anyway.

    I am sorry if your friend missed the flight, but he was not 10 Minutes late, that is 1.5 hours late as it is requested to be at the airport 2 hrs before departure.

    If you buy a ticket the day before you can actually check in online right away or ask the office to do so for you. I don't think Cebu Pathetic (and I am definitely not a supporter of them) can be blamed at all. Your friend did not show up in time, did not check in online, so they sold the ticket.

    The Forum is full of complaints about companies/people don't do their job correct, in your case they actually do a job correct and get blamed also...

    Last week I flew Cebu Pathetic along with My wife,two Titas,one Lola and My wife's daughter to attend a funeral. The flight from Manila to Duma was 30 minutes late leaving the gate. On arrival in Sibulan the stewardess made an apology for the delay and promised to make amends on our next flight on Cebu Pathetic. Flight from Duma to Manila this past Sunday was 45 minutes late arriving, total delay with boarding 1hr 25 minutes. We arrived 1hr 30 minutes early for the flight.Then I watched in HORROR as My out-laws were allowed thru SECURITY with open bottled water(3). Guess what?........when we arrived in Manila same apology made. I think it is a voice clip played on each flight........LOL

    Cebu Pathetic has quite a history in delays (some "great" videos online, great only if you are no victim)...
    Still... first of all I need to stick to the rules, regulations and use the options I have. Only if I do so I have the right to blame somebody else

    I have to agree fully. You are told to check in 2 hours prior and that the check in closes 45 minutes before departure. You were not 10 minutes late but 1 1/2 hours late. From your end its just a simply plane flight no different then a bus trip besides faster and more comfortable (usually). But from their end the plane needs its baggage checked in, it needs fuel for the weight its carrying (they don't just always top off the tank). But furthermore checks on the people, security checks on bags, and following International Airline Regulations. The International Airline Regulations are what held you up and they do need to keep those in check if they want to keep their liscence to transport internationally.

    This isn't 1990 anymore when you can run for the gate and they say you barely made it as the plane was just about to leave the gate in 60 seconds. If they cut you a break the next break they are expected to make may be to a drug smuggler or worse, a terrorist.

    the last time i checked.. cebu pacific overcharged its passengers when philippine airlines has labor dispute. they charged my brother 6000 pesos for one way ticket to manila...
    now... we have a reserved ticket for cebu pacific going to dumaguete this 16th of january but they decided to cancel and reschedule our flights in the afternoon. their reason is that they have maintenance schedule! unbelievable.. i need time to arrive in dumaguete just before noon because we have to apply for license for marriage.. which is very important. and now when we opted for earlier flights they charge us again for that... Unbelievable!

    I have Promo fare confirmed for 01-27-12 from Manila to Duma for P2400+ for two round trip tix. I just paid 6000+ per tix this past week. I am waiting to see if the PROMO will be honored.

    Sorry, no sympathy for your friend (Newbie 27), late is late, time more people in this country, got this short, sharp lesson on the importance of punctuality.

    Late is late I totally understand that, The check in agent told us we were 10mins late for the 45mins check in time. I was just shock with the situation at that time as a frequent flier in Dgte, I always witness late comers can get a seat even as late as 20mins the plane about to leave in Dgte. I know, its only happening only on this city that you can get a seat number as late as that. In Cebu , Manila, Davao I know its strict there, you need to get a seat number before 45mins before departure. Lets not talk about international flight here because its a local flight. We just freak out that time due to the connecting flight on the next day via Manila with JAL.

    But asking a favor to rebook it to the next day and the agent told us NO SEAT AVAILABLE FOR THE NEXT TWO DAYS in not friendly way, so we humbly asked the agent to double check it again any other ways, the agent told us there was no way for the next two days its fully booked she talk to us w/o a good service even a simple friendly basic customer service accommodation was not with her as if don't seemed to care. Then how come we bought a new ticket worth almost 7thousand outside their office and were told there were lots of seats available for the flight on the next day *thank you Robinson department store for the ticket* maybe they play on us coz they know all travel agencies are closed during weekends at Dgte. And we cant buy it online coz they know we want to fly the next day. Too bad, they forgot that there is already a MALL in this city. I dont know why she hate us, maybe because we beg a lot standing in-front of her for almost an hour begging. I dont want to talk how arrogant she is. She should have booked us right there at the office so we wont look for ticket all over the city on that heavy rain but she she said upon checking on the computer that there was no ticket available for the next two days arrogantly. Lol!

    On the next day, as early as 5AM we went to the airport for the 730AM flight. We questioned the incident at the airport why we were told there were no ticket available. Everyone was cleaning their hands. The gate agents told us that we can still ride on it, it was that agent at check in's fault declaring us not to ride on that plane. Ok, late is late. But please dont tell LIES to your customers that there were no ticket available for your own interest. If you got a BAD DAY at home, pls dont bring it at your work. Shape up girl! I can still remember your name, it's Mylene the arrogant CS at the airport. You dont even made an apology on that next day which we deserved. Peace!
