Went to Manila Bi to renew my permanent visa. I was fined PHP 16,400 plus 600 in affidavit fees. My situation is probably unique to most::
I have 5 year permanent quota visa from the U.S.
I was single and living in Makati when I got it.
I moved to Dumaguete shortly after I got it. I didn't know I had to report the move to BI; hence PHP 8400 penalty
I got married and did not know I had to report that to BI; hence, another PHP 8400 fine
Nice surprises. Plus air and 2 nights hotel. There goes a Christmas vacation.
More fun in the Philippines

Dustin is right in That they (BOI) Just don't know the rules themselves, In fact I think WE know more than they do.
Just as a Side on this, we are now coming into the 8th month before the ARP amnesty is over so it is in all our Interest to get the ARP application done . If it is submitted during a Current ACR time it is Free, if it is done after one runs out it will cost you another $50 to do SO my Friends Think On.
