I can see Russia's position with Annexing Crimea, they already had a large Military base there including Naval base that they wanted to protect, and also most of the people were pro Russia to begin with, BUT, I just can't see any excuse at all for Russia pushing into Ukraine, Putin was just asking for trouble doing that, if he just sat pat after Crimea it all would have passed over and everyone would have got nice and sociable together on more Vodka eventually.:D Now Putin is hurting, badly, and he will have to do something MORE controversial to keep his people behind him, what are his options ?
