Humans are usually predators, but we can be prey too. The people in a village on the Niger River in Africa were losing fellow villagers at a rapid rate and called in the army, which shot a 7 m, 1200 Kg crocodile.
Wow. That doesn't even look real. Amazing it could get to be that big. What does it eat? Anything it d*mn well pleases.
If you've watched some of the animal shows where they show a croc taking out a water buffalo (carabao) it is easy to visualize one getting this big. There are collectors in Africa who have old croc skulls too, and some make the one pictured above look small by comparison.
Yes but none of them I've seen on TV are even remotely that large. A shame they killed it.....not that they likely had the resources to relocate one that big though.
Wait wait. Found this online concerning the photo: "Optical Illusion: The crocodile is much closer to the camera than the villagers behind it, giving it the impression that the creature is enormous. Most estimates are that the croc was likely closer to 14 to 16 feet in length. One would expect that if a group of people were posing directly behind the creature, someone would have a hand or arm on or around the creature, which is not the case here – because they are too far away to do so."
Looking at the man on the left side of the screen sitting on a log it appears that the grassed area between the wall and the log is about 1 meter, Maybe too many were groc feed so a bit afraid to hug the beast?
there is one in a museum in darwin aust 10 .7 meters he ripped 2 outboards motors off a boat before they shot him , they grow big. best wear your brown shorts if you go hunting them lol
