We decided to visit Gerrys new resto bar and sample the food,we were very empressed with the progress he has made the new renovation so far and will be great when completed.Gerry's has put a lot of time and thougth into the design and has a great ideas for the future.Now what came for FOOD and BEER the later was ice cold.We started with Fish and Beer Butter very nice,then we all decided on Hamburger some had potato salad,some with fries then to our surprise gerry brought out a 12 inch.pizza for us to try half margarita half peperoni i am sure he well sell many of these when he gets into full swing.Great to see he has pick great girls on his staff.Good time was had by all.

 

Thanks for the inquires and kind words. As posted on our FB page we are going to take a small break and let the construction on the hotel catch up. Once the construction is done we can spend some money improving the driveway, have less clutter and better parking and do what we do best... Serve great food in a very pleasant setting...

 

Hi Everybody,

Today was our day to visit Gerry's and let me tell you - there are nothing but good things to say about this place.

1) Food - absolutely tasty and delicious YUMMY YUMMY woodfire pizza - haven't tasted anything like these pizzas since Belissimo Pizza in Sydney.
2) Drinks - the beer is COLD as it should be [unless you are one of those crazy brits :-)]. And Jagermeister was on the menu - AND AVAILABLE.
2) Service - can not be faulted in ANY way - beer was empty - the lady was present with "Sir are you ready for a refill" - certainly made it enjoyable.
3) Ladies - are friendly, smile, enjoy themselves, sing to the music, Have been well educated and are certainly a vital part of the atmosphere.
4) I was able to observe glasses being cleaned properly - not just rinsed. HYGIENE - always a BIG plus.
5) Last but not least - Gerry - HE RIDES, he is happy, he smokes, he drinks and has a personality full of laughter and joy.

The place is his PRIDE and he has earned it.

It will not be our last visit.

My 2cents worth.

 

I appreciate all input (makes for a better venue). That being said I will enclose an area here to keep the dogs in during hours of operation. I would put a dog down before I would tie it up all day, give me a few days to figure it out and all will be fixed.

 

Quick update, the dogs have a 200 sq foot enclosure for their time during business hours. At night time they roam the beach and offer security for the restobar..

 

Went to Gerry's again today for lunch, this is about our 6th time there now and once again want to say how good the food and service was, I usually have a vegetarian pizza and once again it was great today, my partner tried the chicken curry and she was very impressed by it and said it was the best curry she has tried around Dumaguete, the vegs were cooked well as well as the rice and chicken.

And once again Gerry took time to say hello and ask how the food was

 

Deep dish or thin. It's all about the dough and sauce.

 

I am almost fully open and invite all DI members to come down this Sunday afternoon to check out my new place, (Gerry's on the Beach).
KM 10.9, 1.8 kms south of Bacong market. I now have in addition to woodfire pizza's, burgers, fish and chips, chicken wings and much more.
Darts and the only shuffleboard table on this island, soon to make a horseshoe pit and a great ocean side restobar.
Stop by any time this Sunday, introduce your self and the first beer is on me. Have a great week all.....

Hi Gerry .. Here is my unsolicited review ... went there last week with a few freinds and keeping in mind that renos are still being undertaken we were impressed with the venue and food and are sure the establishment will enjoy regular patronage and we wish you all the best . Nice to go to a place where you feel welcome from the well trained staff and the owner obviously has a lot of pride in providing an experience you will talk positively about ... Its a great location taking advantage of what the philippines can be best at ... island / seaside style enjoyment , a really nice tropical feel in a quiet location . Pizza was the only thing on offer until the rest of the menu can be ready and we were not dissapointed .. woodfire is the way to go and the cook with a big smile certainly knows what he was doing .. the pepperoni and the blue cheese were our choices and lip smacking good they were too . Also on its way were the big tv , pool table and more landscaping ... so , overall a very good experience .. somewhere i would take visitors and friends and i look forward to our next excursion there .. good work , Gerry .... wish you and your establishment all the best
