    There is absolutely nothing to stop anyone coming here, look at tambobo bay which is only a stones throw from mindano, anyone could come into there at night and raid any resort or home with planning.
    End of tourism on negros oriental for a long long time. We all budgets are stretched to their limit here for stuff like this but they would be even more stretched if something like this happened!
    If the foreigners stopped coming to the resorts for any length of time plenty of resorts would go under very quickly.
    Again no forward thinking or planning.

    Jack it's kind of hard to argue with you on this one hahaha...

    Sounds like the same theory of catastrophic reform that exists in nearly every other aspect of society: Nothing will get done until something really bad happens.
    It's unfortunate to think of what will have to happen before the local LE gets it together.
    Turning the dollar spigot off will certainly light a fire under their asses that we know.

    If there is one foreigner kidnapping from a terrorist group/muslim gang in Dumaguete I'm moving it over to Iloilo. I'm not getting my head cut off because of the incompetence of the local government. The local politicians need to be taking this serious. I think they will see a mass exodus of expats if that starts happening (though some might be happy with that).
