I don't know how my electricity bill compares to others on this forum, but we are renting a new 2-story condo here in Dumaguete.

We have a 2.5 HP Sharp inverter split-AC unit which cools the main living room / kitchen area on the lower floor. It is set to 26 degrees and runs all the time except when we go to bed at night, or are out of the house for a fairly long period of time.

In the master bedroom upstairs we have a standard Panasonic window-style AC unit that only runs while we are in bed at night ... it's set to 25 degrees.

So, at any given time, either the spit unit downstairs is running, or the window style unit upstairs is running ... Anyway, in [most] cases, both units are not running at the same time.

Both of these AC units are less than 1 year old.

Our electric bill averages 4,300 pesos per month .... for what it's worth

Glad to be of help .......

BTW ... My water bill is the cheapest I have ever seen after living in many different places ... Averages about 260 pesos per month!

And we both take 1 shower per day and have an electric clothes wash machine (a fairly large Samsung)
