Luckily my visa is up-to-date. They can report me all they like. I really think the vast majority of people reporting are doing so because of a personal grudge and not so much because they actually care about overstaying expats. BoI is taking advantage of the locals spiteful mentality....touché BoI, touché.

That's 82 people since this program was created last year. So, they have kicked out a massive 164,000 pesos?
I think overstays might have a better chance of winning the Filipino lotto than getting picked up by this thing. And maybe they would be able to pay their visa from their lotto winnings.-

Does the BoI give these guys a chance to catch up on their visas? Or are they so ridiculously behind (by several years) that they are not capable of paying? It's one thing to get deported for being a couple weeks/months behind....if a guy is half a decade or more behind then he deserves to be deported.
