Sibulan police chief, Senior Insp. Nelson Lamoco has doubts about the plate and registration papers of the vehicle, and sought the assistance of the provincial Highway Patrol Group, headed by Insp. Robelito Mariano, to determine the veracity and authenticity of the documents presented by the driver, identified as Arham Diamadin Alimoden, of Basak, Lapu-lapu City in Cebu.

The driver and his companions, a certain Ryan Lumangcolob of Lanao del Sur and one Majeb Mamao Bucay, then abandoned the vehicle and boarded a habal-habal, driven by Charlie Cabalpit of Ajong, Sibulan.

Cabalpit said in an interview later that he was asked by Alimoden where they can take a ride back to Cebu or Mindanao, and he said he advised them to take the Ceres bus in Dumaguete.

He said that for P100, he ferried the three up to Saint Paul University in Dumaguete, because they wanted to ride the Ceres bus that made a stop at the corner of SPUD.

When the contents of the van were discovered, a joint hot pursuit operation was conducted by the Sibulan PNP, the HPG, and a SWAT team from the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office, including the Dumaguete City police.

So the van basically crashes into the police station and the police "immediately" respond, the three guys tell the police "wait awhile sir, we'll be right back" and then hop on a trike? Uh huh. Can I get a definition for "immediately"?
