    subway...

Subway sounds great, but They'd probably have to import all the Cold Cuts/meats, cheese and bread dough that's required in order to create Their sandwiches, ....except of course the $5 Foot Long Spaghetti Sandwich...hahaha

(i do believe, that is the very essence of having one of those int'l franchises, that the HQ company sells & ships you
all your standardized ingredients. I'm sure that McD's in our D does not get its beef-patties, buns & etc locally).

"Have it Your Way" will have a whole new meaning if they open a Burger King in Dumaguete......

I'm curious to try Subway at one of the Branches in Manila. Hopefully they're as good the Subways here in The States.. Has Anybody eaten at a Subway over there?

With 4 Jolibee's in a small city like Dumaguete, there is little chance that a Burger King will open here soon as Jolibee is the owner of the Burger King franchise in the Philippines.

you also believe in Santa Claus and the easter bunny, don't you ?

you definitely never were at the local McD, never at a McD in a real country, or you did not recognize how bad philippino McD's are because they are still better than the fat-bee outlet.

Philippines McD's are totally sub-standard compared to the same outlets in real countries.... as is the crowd hanging out in the morning at the "old" McD in Dumaguete...

Just passing along the bits and pieces of what I have been hearing.

    Don't shoot the messenger

One of the guys commented at a 7/11 in Cebu/Manila about how he liked them being in PI, and the person in charge there said there are five planned for Dumaguete.

I beleive he said a number of 7/11s opened the same day in Cebu. So the company is definitely expanding.

There are Subways in Manila which do a booming business. Years ago there was one upstairs in Ayala Cebu, but it was so out of the way most people didn't even know it was there. It failed.
