    I didn't see "Solved" next to this one so thought I would add my Piso. Sounds like someone hot wired the aircon clutch to get around the defective thermostat. It is an electromagnet and a power hog. It should never be engaged when the engine isn't running so the alternator can power it as it would drain the battery fairly fast.

    I would go to RTC, map provided. They are aircon specialists and talk to them first before spending any more money. It may be that the aircon / battery problems are completely unrelated. Would also suggest getting your battery checked at AVM across from Robinsons.
