Also the fact that the PI is a Matriarchal society where the woman pretty much run everything. Albeit from behind closed doors and most men never seem to realize this or are happy to go along with the system as it's in their best interests. The local women don't do it like most western men are accustomed to but rather let the men believe they are the figurehead but pull all the strings behind the scenes in such a nice way most foreigners don't mind. Traditionally the women also hold the purse strings and rule the roost but almost never do so in public so their menfolk are mostly compliant and go along for the ride. And oh what a pleasant experience it can be with the right woman.

Note: I will never win any writing contests, but I hope people understand this is not a criticism just stating a fact of life here. One in which I happily participate!

I suppose if "she" was really a "he", then this would only add more insult to injury to this rather naïve fellow.

Although it may be hard to keep the blood flowing to the brain and elsewhere at the same time, one ought not to ever completely cut off circulation to the brain for extended periods of time.

Sad to think there are mature, adult men (and women) out there who lose sight of their right minds when it comes to the affairs of their hearts.

And sad to think there are always vultures out there, waiting in the wings to have their feast with them.

Hopefully, he didn't lose his life savings over this lapse of good judgement.

Actually seem like a cheap starter lesson(5K USD) to me for a guy who at 65 "goes steady" on the internet, He has so much to learn. It will probably take him another 100,000 USD to get smart enough to hire a helper to take care of his personal and ego needs.
His next lesson will be when he finds out how carefully his complaint is investigated and how swiftly justice is served up here in the Philippines.

Obviously he did not do much research on how the Filipino Romance system works here.

 

Some of the women are smart. I know one Canadian who came here and married a filipino and got knocked up so she could go back to Canada and live on welfare. If she did that with a Canadian guy, the government would tell her to get the money out of him instead of handing over cash. I think she knows that.
