It would be a blast from the past. In 1970 there were no cell phones that I know of.
Anyone remember Y2K crisis (what crisis)? That was another hoax where everyone jumped on the band wagon thinking all the computers would crash and the world would end.
People were buying canned food, generators, extra gas you name it. It was the lunch time conversation at the paper mill.
Some of the guys asked me if I believed the Y2K stuff and I'd say....not really but...oh you never know...
When asked what preparation I had done I'd say....oh I bought 4 boxes of .303 ammo at the hardware store... That's all I need...I know who's got generators, food and fuel...
That got a lot of blank looks from some of the guys.
