Strange/Odd things we see? A car? what's odd about seeing a car? you may ask.
Well this particular Car is very rare in the UK let alone here.
Yesterday I went to the Bakers Shop in Batinguel as ours was Closed. As I was Cycling Past the Welders shop at Taclobo School road I got a Flat, No problem the Guy a couple of doors down was a Vulcanizer who had me up and Running in 15/20 Mins. As I waited I was looking around his Garden and at the back in a lean-to ( Open Shed) was one of these.


Circa 70's I would Guess. Now I have not seen one of them for a good 20+ years so I was surprised. I asked the Guy Who/How /Why? he smiled and said OH! it got left by a Foreigner when he Moved some 6/7 maybe longer I forget years ago and I can't move it. Suspension Shot and I can't get parts, did you try Triumph in India? OH I thought it was UK made. Well that one will have been but now triumph make things in India. OH! OK. Thank you. I won't Hold My breath on it as this "Herald" was the UK's First Fully Independent Suspension Car and could Turn on a Sixpence ( 10 Cents bit) as we used to say, Parts would be like Gold Dust. No, I fear it will never run again and would not even begin to think of the Rebuild cost even if he could get the parts but it was a pleasant surprise to see it sat there, although a great shame, it is going to Rot away in the End.

Anyone else come across things like this?

 

Sounds like Danny of Counting Cars would be salivating. Wonder if he would consider bringing his crew and doing a show in Philippines. I would love to be an 'extra' on that one.
