Note: where I lived in Luzon was noticeably warmer than Dumaguete by approx 2-3 degrees Celsius or about 8-10 degrees Fahrenheit on average. Plus here in Duma we get a nice breeze off the ocean. That's my personal experience anyway.
If you are coming from a cooler climate like most of North America or Europe you will probably need to use aircon at least 6-7 months out of the year especially when warmer summer weather gets here from late February until around October or November after typhoon season before it starts to cool off again. Usually the weather here in Philippines is most pleasant for foreigners and tourists from middle to late November until middle of January or early February. Those are also the peak tourist seasons.-

Jack i think this is just the start of a long hot dry SMELLY spell, has anyone else noticed the bad smell in and around the city , a big rain to flush the gutters would help.

It is possible to live without AC near the beach most of the time. I put a small split type inverter AC in my bedroom and it only added about 800 PHP to my electric bill.
Jack Peterson, How did things finally work out with the larger unit you put in your sala?-

The sooner this summer is done and finished the better I'll feel, the last rain here was on Feb 18th and the temps hit 38deg on some days! That's why I head upwards into the hills when I can to get out of it.

Hmm I don't about anyone else but this weather is now getting to me.
I had a pretty emotional week last week that should be over but this Weather has just made it linger on & on.
Does any one else get that really can't be bothered attitude when the Weather gets somewhat unbearable?-
