Actually the numbers are not strange if you are assaulting someone's prepared defenses. A couple of claymore mines can really make a mess of things, then if you allow me to retreat in the direction I want, you will get more of the same. Wash, rinse, repeat. An AC130 Spectre that Wrye and I were talking about elsewhere would have made a significant difference. Then too, I would haul out as many bodies of my slain as practical so you would look less effective in the news reports. The PR war is at least as important as killing and destruction in this kind of conflict. And no, I'm not giving them ideas, it's obvious someone has already read the manual.
