I was at a b-day party yesterday and there just happened to be two "Italian" New Yorkers there (one is actually from New Jersey....but close enough), which inevitably lead to a conversation about New York Pizza.....and how it's the only "real/authentic" pizza a person could buy/eat. Since I worked with the Italian military a couple years ago in Afghanistan and heard what a few authentic Italians had to say about New York pizza (all of the ones that had tried it thought it was sh*t and too greasy) I thought I'd have a little fun and get the two expats worked up a bit by disagreeing with the "New York pizza is the only real pizza" opinion. (Always a good fun disagreeing with New Yorkers; they get so worked up over the smallest things.....and it seems they aren't happy unless they have something to disagree with.) Nothing much came out of it and nobody changed anyone's opinions on pizza.
But today I get on YouTube and the first recommended video was this:
"A History of Pizza"Umm, alright? That YouTube channel just put the video out last week, must just be coincidence. The video is worth a watch though....will give you plenty of ammunition in case you happen to sitting at the same table with two Italian New Yorkers.
But the next recommended video was:
What's up with that Google? Maybe it's time I switch off the "OK Google" voice search function on my phone.
