A British national and his Filipina girlfriend who were allegedly selling some tablets of Ecstacy inside a disco bar in Mantuyong, Mandaue City yesterday dawn.
Kevin Felix Heins Andrew Tauber, 52, and his live-in-partner, Anna Manas, 28, were caught in a buy-bust operation. They claimed to be residing at Marigondon, Lapu-Lapu City.
Insp. Henrix Bancoleta, who led the operation, said in an interview that they conducted the buy-bust operation at the International Bar Complex, which the foreigner co-owns, at past 3 a.m.
The team was composed of operatives of the City Anti-illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Group of the Mandaue City Police Office.
Bancoleta said a police decoy acted as the poseur-buyer by pretending to buy a tablet of the illegal drug for P1,000. The decoy “transacted” with Manas at the table. http://www.philstar.com/cebu-news/6...rlfriend-arrested-they-were-allegedly-selling

Most people use mind altering drugs to modify the perspective of reality they live in. The question is why would a Filipino waking up with the prospect of a day without electricity, maybe no water available at times, if it is pumped using electricity, the opportunity of working a temporary job for 6 months at a time with no job growth potential , but with a daily earnings potential of at least two Jolibee meals for a full days work and then want to modify the real perspective of their life? It is more fun in the Philippines.....
Maybe the real question should be what is 2/3 of the population doing to cope with life? .... remember life is for people who can not handle the realities of drugs.

And that's just what is smoked (or sold) by the police. Or so some would say. If more than 1/4th of the population is smoking Shabu and police actually have opportunities to obtain it free, what would you expect to happen? I wish police the world over had to submit to at least a weekly urine test so people could weed out who was who.

A few tabs of ecstasy.... why blow my mind. If an estimated 30,million Filipino smoke shabu and it's a mandatory life in prison, then almost one third of the population would be locked up. No wonder evidence against high-level drug traffickers remains limited and majority of LEO'S have one eye shut! But again ( a Global problem)
It's going to take a lot to clean house. Thanks out to those that saved the Philippines from some ecstacy tabs and let's keep in mind the TONS of shabu smoked daily!

Now that's just funny. Wonder why the girls were running away when the police came in? I thought the police usually raid these types of bars to "rescue" the girls from evil foreigners.
So this guy was not only dealing drugs (and to locals no-less).....but also running a girly bar. Absolutely genius! Was this guy trying to get arrested?
Side note:

Using drugs (including ethanol) to cope with ones problems is a recipe for addiction and I'd bet that the addiction rate in the Philippines is high because of this. This might be one reason why so many locals drink until they throw up/pass out. It is their escape from the realities of life. This is not unique to Filipinos though, I see foreigners here using drugs to escape their problems every single time I go to a bar as well.
