This is straight from the builders, all welded back together, all new cosmetics, everything works, 7 day warrantee (or whatever) but new paint and seats and possibly air conditioning. This vehicle has spent 10 years on road in Japan before going to a junk yard to sit waiting to be cut up and sent to the Philippines where it was reassembled from parts, converted from RT hand drive to LH drive, "cosmetically reconditioned" and is sold as a new car in the Philippines with 7-30 day warrantee.

A 4 door 4WD used multicab in good shape/running condition in that area of Negros (because area matters Manila would be much cheaper) with functional aircon I would say it is probably worth 150K, largely because you don't see that many for sale and the seat can recline and or be moved back to fit a foreigner. About a year and a half ago I saw a 4 door advertised online as low as 60K but they never answered my inquiry.

If you don't actually need 4WD, I wouldn't buy a 4WD as it is just more to break. If you actually only occasionally need a 4WD, rent one. If you live in the boonies, then you need a good 4WD, make sure that is what you get.

Once again, just for comparison, a brand new 2 door 2WD pickup with 100km warrantee 1.6L engine is 465k, a cargo van APV is 558k, the lower spec APV GA van seats 8 (Filipinos anyway) and costs 588k.

The new Suzuki Carry multicabs have more room in the cab, the wheels are moved forward/outboard so they are safer in an accident. But they still aren't Volvos.
