As much as a clusterfu** that everything else is here, why would hiring be any different?
Job requirements are BS. People doing the hiring don't know what they are doing or what they are looking for. And given the poor service everywhere here, apparently businesses are hiring the wrong people anyways.
Job postings are like dating ads. People making up fantasy profiles looking for fantasy matches. She asks for a prince charming but reality kicks in and she ends up with an *sshole.
There's a joke in the tech world. A new programming language gets released and tech jobs will want candidates which 5 years experience with it.
My advice. Ignore all job requirements. They are BS. In my line of work I have never bothered with them and the question has never come up. I have also never been asked about degrees. Most gigs I apply for ask for either a degree in something like computer science or equivalent experience. Which do you think is more important? Neither of them is important. The only thing which matters is knowing how to do the job.

This happens in the US and western countries a LOT as well, you just don't hear about it and they keep it played out well as to avoid sexual and age discrimination lawsuits.
Most restaurants prefer female wait staff and those with more single male wealthy clients will prefer good looking young female wait staff. Casino's do the same thing. Male execs at firms are highly likely to hire a good looking female secretary while maybe not the super hottie in the movies (flip side is an elderly lady).
But here in the Philippines its to an extreme. If by the time your 30 you don't have a solid stable job or career or high skill level of some sort as a female then your employment chances drop to really crap and horribly bad paying jobs.-

Always thought age requirements were complete BS on the vast majority of jobs.....and then I came to the Philippines and saw that most businesses/employers weren't accepting applicants over 30 for jobs like "dish-washer", "stock boy" and "driver". Some even take it a few steps further by limiting positions to one gender and/or "attractive" people. I would normally avoid giving any of my money to any place that did this but in the Philippines I quickly realized that I wouldn't be doing much of anything other than sitting in my house staring at a wall.....and I would probably starve to death rather quickly since almost all grocery stores, restaurants and bars do this.
Good to see this ridiculous practice might come to an end.-
