I had my hair coloured and cut at David's Salon in Robinson's Mall on Tuesday. The colour was well done but when it came to the cut the "stylist" seemed to have a mind of his own. Mr. Don kept cutting the back when I asked him to stop and wouldn't cut enough off the top and then disappeared out the back. An assistant did the blow dry so I could see the result. I was not at all happy but had no one to complain to. Thinking it might just be me having a bad hair day I went to pay. I was charged P4,500 which included some conditioner and I was not given a receipt. On my return home my husband who normally does not notice my hair remarked how it didn't look to good as did a neighbour. We live in Zamboanguita and I knew I had to come into the city again on Friday (today) so I rang yesterday for an appointment. They said Mr Don was away until next Tuesday and I would have to wait until then. I said I had to travel overseas on Monday and wanted something done before then so I had an appointment this morning with another stylist. He remedied the disaster with ill grace and then I was charged a further P250. I queried this and they said if I had waited for Mr Don it would not have cost anything. Needless to say I will not be returning and suggest that other expats do not patronise a place which cares so little for their customers.

We go next door to Cutting Loose. Janet is very good for females and the guys are pretty good but they tend to cut your hair short if you don't manage them.

I stopped going there over 5 years ago, after the first cut. I had the same problem, as the cutter would not listen. Thank God our hair grows and our entire value is not based on our hair appearance...
