Delima left during Peter Cayetanos privilege speech Trillianes may have left as well. The speech was not kind to that pair.
That leaves 4 Liberals vs the other 16 senators.
De Limas predicament is what some would call KARMA :-) :-)

Senator Delima historically seem to have played to role of the "bull in the China Shop" type of personality. She was very active in the Corona impeachment trial also strolling about trying to create an atmosphere of chaos, as apparently Aquino was working the hall ways with bags of money to get the needed votes for impeachment. Both Corona and Duterte were/are political rivals of Aquino/LP party. When you play the role of the China shop bull then you do make enemies at times.
With Delima's new political vendetta program it must be realized that Aquino, her ally and support backup, is no longer the President. She really has no one but the Media to cover her backside well, (and the guy in the internet posted video) . To me she seems to enjoy the role of the "enforcer/hit lady" for Aquno's Liberal party. Understanding the Liberal party is very influential in the media, it is surprising to me that her persona many times has been so negatively projected with the air of an arrogant politician. Maybe the international media will help her carry her torch against Duterte. I think she has lost a lot of prestige due to the Senate chairmanship vote, although political clans and money is all that really matters to the Filipino politics and media coverage.... scandal/drama sells... and money shouts here, with or without credibility and foundation.
If there is KARMA, then I think he has come around to bite her in the butt, however after watching the internet posted X rated video, it seems like he may not be biting her in the butt after all, but it still must hurt a little.... never tried. :o o:

Money and/or clans are usually the deciding factor in such situations.

It appears she launched a smear campaign against him also and her fellow senators demoted her, not Duterte. She could only muster 4 votes out of 22? I presume one of the votes was hers so only 3 votes? 16 against her and two abstentions? I don't know her personally but it appears her fellow senators don't think highly of her and presumably they are familiar with her. Once again, Duterte didn't do it, her fellow senators did it. It's in the article.

Manny called for the vote and they held a vote and 16 voted her down, 4 voted for her and 2 abstentions.

I think it proper she not be the chair if she can't hold a simple majority? It's democracy in action.

She was removed from the committee chair, not from the committee or from the senate. So just exactly what did happen that you were concerned about? Are you against democracy?
