When I first got here I replied to the 'Globe' thanks for adding load, you have 3 spins for ... promo and my load started disappearing as you describe. I ended up getting another sim, always delete every promo text, and now I can load p100 and use it over a couple months with no problems.

For anyone using a Smart Sim, some 'malware'? on some phones will turn on data usage and then you will be paying by the minute for Internet use that you don't even want. You can turn off the ability to use data with SmartBro Load Protect
How can I turn on/off Smart Bro Load Protect?-

I truly hate how Globe spams their customers with promos from themselves and other companies and also sells our phone numbers to spam lists. It is a truly disgusting practice for a major mobile carrier to take part in. Absolutely no ethics or fucks given....not that they have any incentive to do the right thing. I haven't had a Smart number in a phone for awhile so no idea if they have the same horrible ethics as Globe. Would be nice if there were more than two options for mobile...but hey, monopolies are "more fun in the Philippines".

You can go to the globe/smart website, open an account and link your phone number to the account. You can see there of you are subscribed to any promotional crap. The also have forums there that you might have better luck with getting an answer from their customer support.

Disappearing pre-paid TM cell phone load problem solved.
It took 2 visits to customer service Globe at Robinson's mall but our vanishing load problem has been resolved. No new phone numbers or sim cards were required. We have our original phone numbers. They could not tell us exactly why the load disappeared but from their records in the computer it was nothing we had done or not done. So who knows ? All's well that ends well.-

Don't know if this will help any, i've been here 6 months and still am flummoxed by prepaid phones. If you register for the website, sometimes you can check the account under your phone number, might tell you what "promo" you're registered for and some other info. I also like to hit robinsons smart and globe, althou the line at smart is much shorter... I got a promo reversed at Globe, AND got a 250 peso refund by being nice

Are you using a smart phone? If you don't have a data plan and the phone data is turned on it will burn through your load pretty quickly. You'll need to manually turn off your mobile data by going into the settings.
