The Scotsman shot in the chest by robbers just hours before his wedding in Talisay City last month has finally tied the knot.
As we previously reported, Tarek Naggar was lucky to survive when he was shot at point-blank range by motorcycle-riding thieves, who made off with just 500 pesos.

His survival after the attack early on Thursday, July 22, was all the more remarkable as an ambulance failed to turn up and he had to be taken to hospital on a trike.

According to doctors, the bullet ricocheted off the 44-year-old’s ribs, missing his heart by millimetres and ending up in a lung.

Following nine days of treatment the joiner from Glasgow was released from hospital — but only after he had paid his bill in full.

Try taking money from a Scotsman. Not a chance. I would just hand over the money but I don't carry any with me at all times.

I normally never carry any money with me when I go out, my Wife carries a little, and each time I am accosted for pesos I am not lying when I say I do not have any and tell them my Wife holds my money. (the usual 'wala pera' line) But I am sure if I met someone who was desperate, that line just wouldn't cut it with them, as when I tell relatives here I do not have any money on me to buy Beer etc they laugh at me and tell me they know I am rich simply because I am a foreigner, sooo.... :speechless:

This guy also had no Travel-Health Insurance, that was one of the first things I did when I started planning my first trip here, CRAZY to come here with no Medical Insurance plan and this points out exactly why you should take out Medical-Health Insurance should the worst happen, which for this guy, did! :o o:
