BTW. The factory reset option is in a Settings menu towards the bottom of the settings options. Probably in the "System" menu.
Edit; just remembered that Samsung and other brand name manufacturers sometimes change up the settings menu a bit. You might have to select "All settings", "more options" or something like that to see the full Android settings menu.-

I used to buy Samsung tabs from local vendors and found most started to give me problems after a year of use because they are substandard products. I could suggest, if you want to know if its real, that you look for the Serial number at the box and try to register it at the Samsung website. If it is accepted, it is the real one.
If it is real then you can take it to a Samsung repair depot and have them reset to factory specs.-
