Dgte is now loading illegally parked bikes onto a truck and hauling them away!

 

Can't block, or even slow down, the traffic. Sidewalks are not for pedestrians in Dumaguete. If they were just a bit wider and more even, they would be tricycle travel lanes.

 

If they enforced each breach I could see most of the locals ending up with Fines totally more than the Market Value of the Bike they would be caught riding on!

 

Yup 300p for me today, the teller told my GF that 50p wasn't enough deterrent. I for one am proud that they are actually doing something that makes sense!

 

It's a penalty, not a ticket to park the car lol

 

In Ormoc City they was giving out a city regulation that all vehicles with broken parts or suboptimal maintenance have to be phased out till they are properly fixed. This caused about the half of all vehicles including tricycles and jeepneys going out of business. The result was, that the available public transportation was not enough to handle the amount of riders. People living in the outskirts of the city were getting huge issues to get into the city because all passing public transportation was already overcrowded. But who believes now that there will be less traffic in the city is wrong. Due this issue the people started to buy own vehicles resulting in a much worse traffic than before the city regulation.
