    I have just seen it didn't. No, I mean literally just "seen". As I walked by and had a look. There was a building that burned to the ground and there was a huge concrete firewall on either side of it, so the buildings beside it escaped serious damage. The building that houses the BI is on the "good" side of the firewall. No damage.

    ** from the press;
    DUMAGUETE — Two business establishments located along Dr. V. Locsin Street here were razed by a fire of still unknown origin early morning Wednesday.

    Gutted down by the fire are the Times Mercantile, one of the oldest establishments in the city; and Parlem’s Collections of RTWs (ready to wear). ***
    these buildings are about 5 away from the BI

    Full report;
    You are being redirected...

    but I tend to think that it was a close call, Time they moved BI to Robinsons in the now Unused office of the LTO next to the DFA on the 2nd Floor

    Unless you find a working wife....
    and then you find one who is an even bigger financial burden! That is after the costs of extra beers at your pub of choice when she's gone, eating out more often because she isn't there to cook for you, the extra gas or transportation costs because your bored alone so go out more when she's not home, and maybe even the extra cost of a mistress and hotels because your lonely as she's working, sleeping, or spending time with kids..... of course her extra salary isn't even half of what you spend w/o her there :wink:

    Or take a 13A 0r 13G and you have just to pay the Annual Fee (310 peso) once a year in any BI! :biggrin:

    I am not sure if you mean charging high rent to the store owners (probably) or to the government agencies (I don't think so).

    Every article I have read about government agencies moving to a Robinson's Mall brags about how it is Win Win because Robinson's gives free rent to the government agency and in return gets a bunch of new customers who have to come to the mall to get their business done.

    Here is an example. SSS offices in Robinsons malls, a win-win says Dooc | Philippine Information Agency

    I know Times Mercantile burnt the other day. The BI was unaffected as far as I know.
    This sounds like someone's wishful thinking got onto the Bamboo Telegraph.

    A wife is going to be much more of a financial burden than the financial requirements of any of the SRRVs. :wink:

    Ah yes, and that is another reason to consider an SRRV (if wife is ex-filipina): You never have to visit a BI office again.
