OMEGA is a place that can help you out. They are on the National Highway just north of the intersection past Robinson. They are on the mountain side of the highway (across from the AVON office more or less).

 

If you have an electric drill or a good cordless drill you can use a socket the size of the crankshaft nut to start the engine, works much easier than pulling the rope. There are many videos on youtube if you want to see how it works.

 

After checking UyMatiao I d*mn near had a heart attack. They said that they could order it and get it in 3 0r 4 weeks at a cost of 7,000.oo pesos. Checked V-Roys and the small eng. repair shop across the street from the Fire Station. I have come to the conclusion that I was only going to get it by ordering it over the net. Went to the B&S web-site and found it in less than 15 min. at a cost of $13.95 USD's. I spent more than a day searching Dumaguete for it, with no luck. "Sorry Sir. Out of stock." I will be ordering it over the phone once they open over there after 8pm tonight here. The call tonight will be free because I will be calling from my Florida # to a 800 parts #.
Thanks to all of you for your help and input in my parts search. You guys are always willing to help and that is why I have been a member here for over 11 years.

 

You didn't give a model number but if your model is on this list this should work. Lazada lists some numbers but I added some that this starter will fit. Just do "Ctrl f" on your keyboard and put your model in the search box that comes up to search the list. Here is the listing on Lazada. This is the most popular B&S starter out there. Price is P889

Well Dave, I got the part yesterday delivered by "LBC". LBC refused to issue a receipt for my money even after we requested it. BIR will be hearing about this. The part delivered IS THE WRONG PART. I have yet to get a reply after informing them, (GALLEON), of this. I will save my praises of GALLEON tell I get this resolved.
Right now I am not very happy with there service.

 

Well I am ready to sing the praises of GALLEON today. I ordered some diabetes test strips from the USA using their service. (The type I need are not available in Philippines.) I ordered on July 13, they promised delivery August 8 but it just arrived 10 days early (July 28) delivered to my door by LBC. No extra charges. No BS. Fair pricing. Loads of emails to keep me well informed. Well packaged and exactly what I was looking for.

I hope this gives you encouragement grandpainak as you are likely to get similar royal treatment from these guys. Seems they are new and trying to make a name for themselves so I plan on making the most of it and ordering more stuff.

 

These guys will buy your product in the US and ship it to Philippines complete with all appropriate taxes and fees, or so they say. I recently ordered some small items from them to test them out and have not received the package yet, because it takes about 3 to 4 weeks to get it. But they sure keep you informed along the way.
