Best Posts in Thread: New Korean place - Kimstaurant

Has anybody else tried the new Korean restaurant on the blvd yet called Kimstaurant? I was happy to see this place open as I love Korean food. Going inside it is nice and spacious and modern looking, so I had high hopes. We found the menu to be a bit pricey with most of the main menu items being in the 400 to 700 peso range. Anyway, we ordered four dishes for the two of us to get a good sampling of their food. It was a major disappointment for me, even though I was very hungry I couldn't eat more than just a few bites from each dish. We decided to just leave shortly after the food arrived. They asked if we would like it packed for take out and we just said no thanks, paid our 1400 peso bill, and left and walked down to Casablanca for one of their giant burgers for 275 pesos which we split and filled us both up. We go to the Soban Korean food restaurant by City Mall all the time, and love just about everything on their menu, and I was happy when I saw Kimstaurant open ... but, it was very disappointing.

 

We been there shortly after they opened. I found the food to be not the greatest but O.K. for Korean food. The Kim Chee was really good but they will not sell it for take out by the kilo. It will be a while before I try them again. I did not pay attention to the price. We are fond of the Korean restaurant next to Opena's Hotel called Super H Groceries and we buy Kim Chee by the kilo there. We eat there often. At my second or third visit to Soban Korean restaurant west of the North High Way across from the Provencal Hospital. Their door guard really pissed my off and we left before we got seated, NEVER to return. I refuse to be insulted by a rent-a-cop over a fa-king parking place. Other than that encounter, we really liked that Korean restaurant. Too bad they have a prick for a guard.

 

So you didn't like the food @all what I understand. Taste is a very personal matter of course, but, unless you are really very picky, there is a bottom line to accept what a restaurant put on your table. After only a few bites I should have said, thank for your efforts but this is not the kind of food for us. Paying a bill under these circumstances...no way!!
If I remember well in the menu of Pasta King, is a phrase, that if you don't like the food, just say it, but immediately after a few bites of course and it will be removed without any charge.That is called customer friendly IMHO.
