Hi, Roadwitch! In the Philippines, Halloween is mostly celebrated in cemeteries, at the tombs of the departed loved ones. Flowers, candles, and food are brought to the cemeteries. It is a big event in the Philippines and is a holiday so families can spend time with their departed members of the family by being at their tombs, saying prayers and having some family reunions of some sort.

However, I know that every Halloween Robinsons has a special event for kids scheduled maybe a day before (?)....please inquire. Robinsons even sponsors a costume competition for kids. For adults, I know Tiki Bar usually has a special event on Halloween, and Hayahay usually sponsors a costume competition on that day. I know there are other places where the celebration of Halloween is made more fun as we already have a lot of foreigners here who celebrate Halloween differently in their countries. In the Philippines, the celebration starts and ends at cemeteries.

Day of the Dead (Dia de los muertos) follows All Hallows Eve. I don't belive there is trick or treating anywhere on the evening before. There are private costume parties, and some events, as mentioned by others. Commemorating the deceased by visiting cemeteries is a serious obligation.
