I am looking for sources of botanical specimens from local fruit trees for a unique project.

Before heading out to Davio for Cacao and coffee or Mindanao for Hass avocado fruit on a branch or Ilocos for Kosoy apples or Pili nuts from Bacolod. I would like to find out if anyone has these trees growing in their backyards here in or around Dumaguete.

From botanical fruit, seeds, and pods we produce botanical works of art in Bronze not from molds but by investing organic specimens directly in a ceramic shell casting process where the original is burned away and molten bronze cast into the resulting cavity.

normally this requires the fruit with a stem and a few leaves and so walking the wet market is no help as detailed information as to the origin of any interesting subjects is the trade secret of the market sellers.

We are happy to pay for the botanicals.

I would love to build up a resource of local fruit trees of interesting varieties.
for now, it's just what you can find as you drive around.
