    I found out today who he was. Yes, I knew him, even when he lived in Siquihor. He moved here, first in Valencia and then where he was found.

    I had many chats with him. He was a good man and I will miss his sense of humor and informative discussions.

    I wonder what has happened to his two dogs he loved so much.

    It is always hard to hear of someone passing, it becomes personal when you know that person.

    I hope the Lord had mercy on his soul.

    A body of a Foreign National was found dead on Aug 23, 2020 around 8:15 in the morning in Purok Bayanihan, Brgy. Motong, Dumaguete City.
    The foreigner was identified as Ernst Aeschbacher, 68 years of age from Svizra, Switzerland.
    Police investigation revealed that
    Victim was lying on the floor near the comfort room naked.
    Furthermore, the body manifest rigor mortes ad the condition is under a state of decomposition.
    The investigator observed that all Personal belongings of the victim were all intact and no disarray noted in the immediate area.
    The body of the victim was brought to Bagacay Cemetery for proper disposition.

    He was Swiss. I knew him well. What I don't know why he died. He had some minor health issues in the past, but nothing really serious. Anyway, R.I.P. Aschi.

    you know it was in another venue but i was told by my then parter as we were ready for sleeping upstairs with some other members of the family (on the floor) sort of a "by the way", if you wake up and see someone in the room robbing us you must pretend to not see them, because if you chase them away or even show you know them, they will come back and kill you, and maybe us too. this was in a 100 nipa hut fishing village on the shores of mindanao an hours drive from dipolog, about 10 years ago. one of the reasons i decided to live in dumaguete

    Before this incident, I think the Dutch national went to the police to report of burglary in his place. I do not know the rest of the story though.
