I tried to use my Master Card to buy an aircon and they wouldn't accept it. A cancelled flight got refunded and Master Card told me I could take the credit as a Cash Advance and settle that at months end. I was damned if I was going to pay them a fee to get my own money into my own hands. On a happy note. I bought a new NMax from the Yamaha dealer on my credit card. They charged me 2.5% but that's okay because it was my choice. I really like the bike. I can go places in style, if I had somewhere to go.

The bank I am using is one of the new style Internet based banks that has popped up in Europe, Revolut! Their exchange rates for currencies are much better than general banks and you are allowed to have multiple currency accounts. I see no reason to open a local bank account at all actually.

 

You could consider sleeping matts. I think they are made of grass and are colourful, cheap as well.
