I did not have reactions to either the Sinovac nor the Pfizer.
The next day I put pressure on the location of the Pfizer jab and did notice a little discomfort compared to the other arm.
Honestly a little reaction would make me feel better by thinking that something was happening.

I posted this graph before, here's an updated version of the situation in a big part of Europe and North America. The graph illustrates that in all but 3 of the depicted countries Omicron is causing record high (reported) new case levels, way above what was indicated last year as the limit hospitals could cope with in most countries (2,500 cases per million per week, the red line). So even if Omicron causes much less severe cases than earlier variants, then struggling/overwhelmed healthcare systems seem almost inevitable across almost all of these countries.
Notable absentees from this graph are Germany, Austria, The Netherlands, Belgium and Eastern Europe, where Omicron seems to be a little late in racking up huge numbers of cases.
I included the Philippines for comparison, one needs to consider much less testing here to understand why in this graph the Philippines seem the "perfect country to ride out this pandemic", but even with that in mind, so far we're doing much better than Europe / North America here. That doesn't mean that Omicron will politely pass on wrecking havoc here though, it just hasn't happened yet.
The original graph is from this webpage-

I am a firm believer in the usefulness of vaccines. Had a flu shot in January; in Feb a household member who doesn't bother with flu shots because fear of reactions, caught the flu and was absolutely miserable for more than a week with it. I never caught it, though I continually had fairly close contact.
I have been taking annual flu shots since high school (decades and decades ago) and, along with many other vaccinations for various things, I have never had any reaction to the shots other than a mild soreness for a day or two at the injection site.
Occasionally I come across an anti-vaxxer who immediately smugly bloviates about individual rights and freedoms. I just laugh and tell them to take 2 Ivermectins and call the ambulance in the morning. I suggest as a courtesy they give the coroner a heads-up call, too. For some reason they don't think that is as nearly funny as I do.-

There is no hope for the Philippines to contain this variant any better than the West has. The Philippines is just lucky that it took this long to arrive here.-

Availability of the deep-freeze mRNA vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna) is a day to day thing. Deploy to the field at the wrong time, and some expires and goes to waste. You can call in the morning and ask what is on tap that day.
