About mattresses, pay attention to the soft/firm/hard aspect. Too soft and too hard are both bad for sleeping well.
How hard is too hard? Can't say, depends on body weight. Apart from that, pick a mattress that has at least 40kg of foam per m3, so you don't get a sleeping dent after a few years.
And I agree Dan, we got our (king size) bed and mattress at Mandaue and they're both perfect.
Another advantage of buying at Mandaue Foam which we discovered after buying stuff there while still renting is that they have a relocation service also, which means that when you change house, you can request for them to come and move your stuff to the new place (including taking apart and putting back together what can't be moved as is). All that at a very fair rate.

I can attest to their mattress, purchased one 3 years ago and have not slept on anything better in our travels... always look forward to getting home to sleep on it... btw did not buy the most expensive..
