8 year old found dead after being raped in bajumpandan?

Can’t believe roomers here, I heard that they caught a teenager for the murder, and there was another girl missing in the area, the poor young girl is being buried today RIP youngster.

 

May the little girl rest in peace and may the murderer rest in hell.....

 

I would rather like that this murderer gets no rest at all and that forever...

 

As rumors go, the police have a man in custardy, the man lived near the young girl, he had been released from jail for murdering his wife and 2 kids, so I hope the police are correct so this piece of sht is off the streets for good.

Cops release parolee
in rape-slay of minor

The mentally-challenged man held for the rape-slay of the 8-year-old girl in Barangay Bajumpandan, Dumaguete City, last week was released by the police when they found no sufficient reason to keep him.

Supt. Goforth, Dumaguete City police chief, said Reynaldo Elnig was released yesterday morning after an overnight stay at the station.

Elnig became a probable suspect when investigators found some potential evidence that could link him to the death of the Grade III pupil, whose body was found in a sugarcane field.

Elnig, a parolee, who was released from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology in Muntinlupa, Metro Manila in 2010, had been invited to the police station after policemen found what appeared to be bloodstains on his shirts and in his nipa hut, that is about 100 meters away from the crime scene.

Goforth appealed to the public to be patient and understanding because they are working overtime to solve the case. He said this is a very sensitive case that cannot be solved overnight.

Four other “persons of interest” had also been invited for questioning.*JFP

And this is another can of worms. This guy was released because there wasn't enough evidence. But in an area where people barely have enough money to feed themselves and a country where you have to pay before and after checking into a hospital there is likely little resources for dealing with mental health issues. Even if these people do get a diagnosis for their mental health issues, they likely don't have the coin to afford medication.
