What world do you live in? Maybe you just joking, stop signs, whats that? You even ask for driving lessons to qualified for a driving license, sorry don't believe that will happen in near future

Personally I prefer Dumaguete to stay small and even smaller would be nice. We have Robinsons and Lee Plaza plus all the local stores. If that isn't enough then I think someone is in the wrong city. They should look at Cebu, Bacolod, or Manila where they have all the malls you'd likely ever want or need.
I like small town life just fine. I have seen the scenario many times in the U.S. where city people move to the country and or small towns and then want to bring all the things with them that were the reason they left where they were in the first place. If it were totally up to me Dumaguete wouldn't even have a Mc'd's.
I prefer quality over quantity in a town. Bigger is not better.
    Just my opinion of course.

I agree - batteries are a big concern for me here as they just don't seem to last long at all and some I have bought don't even work when the packet is opened! Every main hardware store has told me that as soon as I open the packet then there is no warranty - BUT Ace Hardware at City Mall said I had 7 days to check out the batteries and bring them back if necessary. So full credit to them and that is where my business will go to whenever possible.

Maybe but the majority of Casablanca’s customers are locals so it would be interesting. I’m sure those chains would do their due diligence market research before making the investment. A Burger King would suffice.

Two big restaurant chains! May I boldly suggest TGI Fridays and Outback Steakhouse. Suggestions close 2:30 pm today

Reviving this 5 year old thread after doing a forum search on the topic of malls. This is the closest I could come to being related. Heaven knows I don't want to offend tender sensibilities of some who get upset with a duplicate post on a topic. I know doing that destabilized the entire social infrastructure of the country...possibly the planet.

    This in the Negros Chronicle:

I love the terminology of the opening line: "City braces for...." Braces is right!
