    Hi
My partner and I are planning a holiday to the area with our 5 year old in early Feb next year. We will spend approx 16 days in the area and are wondering how best to split our time between Oslob, Dumagete, and Siquijor. Will it be a good time to see the whale sharks? We are looking to do some snorkeling as well and would like recommendations for the best places, both boat trips and snorkeling off the beach. I saw some excellent photos on another thread of the whale sharks and was surprised how clear the water was compared to when I saw them in Mexico.
    Thank you

It would be best to station yourself out of Dumaguete. Oslob is a day trip (or maybe stay the night to be able to hit the whale sharks and the waterfalls nearby). There is a ferry going over to Siquijor daily if I remember correctly. You can do day trips there as well but I would recommend finding a resort to stay at for a couple nights to give you more time to explore the island. The resorts there should be able to set you up with tours/transportation. You might want to consider a day trip to Apo Island and the Manjuyod Sand Bar as well.
