Mamsa is a jack or trevally, very tasty. Dorado is dolphin fish. Locals (fishermen?) dont want to eat it 'cause they say dorado eat drowned people's ball*
Thanks for all the responses, the AM is getting some fish to try out. I'm a big grill guy so am looking forward to trying out the recommendations. Shawn
Grilled mamsa tonight. Wife made a soy, chili, onion and I'm not sure what else filipino dip. Very good, we like it better than dorado but I still like Lapu Lapu more.
They sell tuna in a can here. Cheap. No bones. Easy to eat if you have a can opener or a knife. Probably my favorite.
Chicken of the sea. Lived off that, peanut butter and Ramon when I worked nights at the ship yard and had no gf to cook for me. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
I'll have to check if it is cheaper per can vs. fresh per kilo...pretty hard to grill in the can but do have a recipe to make tuna patties; have to find some buns though. Shawn
