    green coffee bean heads up
sorry this was happening a couple of weeks back but... there's a sidewalk vender across the road from the duma fruit market (BDO side of the road) that has(d) green coffee beans at 120kg. the beans look to ungraded (mill run) but are considerably cleaner than the beans we got from the tanjay market.

disclaimer: the little woman made the purchase and provided the vender directions and she couldn't give intelligible instructionss for turning on a light so you're on your own.

There is half decent coffee in a lot of places but I don't find anyplace that is better than regular old MacDonalds coffee. I forgot what good coffee was like until I was in Alabang at IHOP and OMG it was good.

Your very welcome, I roast robusta, it tastes just fine. The taste can vary quite a bit depending on roast time and one thing I have noticed is that a 2 to 4 day wait before you grind gives you a better taste with some coffee beans. Enjoy your roasting... Check some of the local coffee shops in your area, they may have some unroasted arabica beans that they will part with...

Pretty sure you could easily make it up there in any 2 wheel drive multicab. Locals make trips up there daily on Honda Waves with bald tires without much problem at all.....and the road is plenty wide enough for a 4 wheeled vehicle, at least until the Dauin Hot Springs. Not sure what comes after that as that was about as far as I went that day.

I have had good tasting coffee before but usually not. Usually I just go for strength/mud. Nice to know that coffee roasting is available as a hobby.
