Thank you, Alex, for all you did. I hope to find out more about Joe's situation in his later days, since I am his son and have not heard anything from him in many years. I only found out about his whereabouts when informed of his death by the other family members, with whom you were in contact. (I found this thread in a web search and registered to say this, since I don't know if I will have any other opportunity to contact you.) The initial information about attempts to find him care was not what I had previously heard, so I am glad for a more accurate story. Best to you.

Hi another joe, I am sorry that you had to hear about your dad that way, he was not begging on the street like some think.
From what i can understand he had been here 10 years, he returned to the U.S.A. for his mums 100th birthday.
Their is a gap in the story untill we found him at the church, he did have belongings books ,cloths, other personal goods ect,
He had money in the bank about 170 U.S dollars he gave us his china bank card and pin, after his death we found from his personal effects car keys and rego papers a 1976 toyto( witch we can not find) its strange that no one seems to remember him as he was here 10 years, we have his drivers licence and pic we are trying to get that in the local news paper in order to fill in some more gaps in his story .
from his effects we found out that he was a very well educated man and the books he had supports that
.I will post any other findings as the come our way.
If you dont have money to pay out its hard to find out much in this country
    CHEERS

    Alex,
With the greatest respect for the late "Joe" I am PM'ing you to clear any misunderstanding.
My reference to being "homeless or begging on the streets" is, if you where put in that position of no money (presuming no home) within a country that accepts begging as part of life, who would you turn to? I still say that somebody knows more about Joe and I can assure you, my heart crys out for Joe, because I can imagine being in just such a position.
This is a evil World we live in......regards John

I have decided to post the PM to you Alex, JB
