On our way back from Cebu, we decided to take a side-trip to what we thought was just an old chapel/church in Simala,Sibonga. We had heard of miracles at this place and just wanted to check it out for ourselves. What we saw as we drove up took our breath away!! This huge, beautiful, castle-looking monastary just appeared out of nowhere, literally!! This is worth the drive from here to there if you want an idea for a day trip. We spent only an hour, but we missed seeing alot, as we were trying to get back to Dumaguete and the traffic was crazy yesterday.
