I don't care about an 'abhorrent' or 'trollin' - in fact, you went through my previous posting and gave me SIX negative ratings today! One (a dislike) was even for my information on a Comet!! VERY sad man. They are only 'marks on paper' and mean nothing if they come from someone like you. Coming from the decent folks on here would force me to rethink my attitude. In your case, it is a joke. I like jokes.- Winner x 5

Dog groomers may be a different proposition, especially if they come to your home. They will not likely have many veterinary skills but can be great at dog handling.
Dogs can dislike being bathed unless used to it from the puppy stage. I advise you very strongly to show huge caution as the dog may strike out and you will then have to receive rabies vaccines (and perhaps medical attention for injuries). But with patience you may succeed. She will not like it, but I would put a muzzle on her (if you can, without being bitten) if you do try to attempt any body contact.
The scratching could be fleas or may be mange - there are treatments available. These can be purchased from an agrivet store - no need to see a vet and this can be mixed with the food. My wife had success using this on an askal puppy we adopted within a period of about one month.
You may also find (I am assuming here) that feeding a very favourite food (found by trial and error - chicken may be good) may make her more approachable (but I repeat my warning about the risk to yourself, especially if you are not familiar with dogs). Dogs can be fine but in new situations they get scared and stressed - great what you are doing but just be cautious.- Like x 3

Our neighbors moved away about two weeks ago, abandoning their dog, leaving her in the street. So we've been feeding her and giving her a place to sleep at night in our carport. However, she stinks and is dirty, but still she refuses to let us bathe her, even though she is miserable, scratching herself repeatedly. So we're hoping someone here will have the name & number of a good vet or dog groomer in the Dumaguete/Valencia area, who can help us help our new furry friend. Thank you in advance for your help.

I am not a veterinarian, but scabies is much more than an ear infection!
If the sanctuary - a group of people who clearly love dogs - advise you that the dog is suffering then, as with humans terminally ill, euthanasia is the best solution in my opinion. BUT, they might give you advice and help for you and your dog.
So, please give them a try.- Like x 3

My asawa uses AGMECTIN (0.3%) at about 8 pesos per packet (one dose) from an AgriVet - it says on the packet it is for de-worming (which dogs and cats need). It is described as 'anti-parasitic' and she says she also used it for mange (dogs) and fleas (dogs and cats) and she says it works for all three conditions - but I would suggest you check that with the AgriVet.

What Nextgueard does it's killing the mites, and the dog stops scratching after 3 days, the dog is fully recovered in 3 months in most cases, maybe that the dog has several diseases

To treat mange use Nextguard, you put it in the food, price is between 500-800 pesos depends where you got it from, vet or animal sanctuary. I have seen it works, totally hairless dogs starting to grow new hair in 2 weeks time and can recover 100%
