Belgian National to be Duterte’s Chef at Presidential Palace – www.philippineslifestyle.com DAVAO CITY, Philippines – President Rodrigo Duterte has announced that a Belgian national will be his personal chef in Malacañang when he takes office on June 30th. Peter de Cauwer was introduced to the media in a press conference in Davao City at Hotel Elena yesterday. Cauwer is married to a Filipina and is a master chef and master baker as well as a full time food consultant. Cauwer told the media that he can cook the president-elect’s favorite dishes. Duterte told the media that he is not on a restrictive diet, and does not like chocolates in general. “I am a very simple man with one viand and rice only. It would be enough for me,” Duterte added.
