By the time all the wooden poles are finished the new ones will need to be replaced.
Alas, maintenance is a a circular and never-ending process. Wind is more likely the culprit than rain. I am glad to see them doing regular maintenance. In my home country, the two largest states experience regular catastrophic power failures due to lack of regulation of their for-profit utilities. Ironically, the catastrophes take opposite forms, raging fire versus winter heating failure.
