    Hi Folks,

    I renewed my visa the other day here in Bacolod, and as my flight from the Philippines to Singapore was in 31 days I "suggested" to them that they give me a one month extension of 31 days which would do the job. The BI had done this for me in Ilolo a couple of years ago. Anyway they said no, and I pointed out that I had payed my "express fee" several times and told to come back in 3 or 4 days as the officer was in Manila and also many of my extensions were for 62 days, not the 59 days. The officer just stamps my passport from say the 15th of one month to the 15th of two months forward. Still no, but this time in a shitty mood.

    Anyway I need a "exit clearance", and noticed that the Bacolod office has charged me 500 peso's for it and given me a paper which says;

    Certification "that I do not appear on any Bureau Hold Departure, Blacklist" etc etc

    " Certification issued upon request of the subject for VIMS application papers"

    Is this a "exit clearance" and if so, does the date need to be less than 30 days from departure ?

    I was going to go to the Cebu BI office a few days before deparure as I wil be in Cebu, but as I have been charged 500 peso's for exit clearance (from Bacolod) not sure what all this means.

    Thanks for your patience.
