    Just received the Sprenger collar today. Completely different dog on the walk. Took to the end of the driveway and two light tugs on the leash for him to figure out what he was supposed to be doing. He was not interested in putting any tension on the the leash. (I tried it on my neck first to test and completely understand why. No choking involved, it just hits pressure points around the neck making pulling very uncomfortable. Probably less so with the scruff and fur for some padding but it definitely works.)

    It's an expensive collar (P3k for medium size dog black stainless variety) but I'd say well worth the money. Moved my pace from 11-12 minutes/km to 9:30 minutes/km. Less stressful and more productive walks for everyone involved.

    I am only associating the collar with walks, something he gets very excited for. I will make it so that just the sound of picking up the collar makes him happy and excited.
