Many people are just too stupid to be given the truth. It is best to withhold information when it is not compete or fully understood with the majority of the population. If you give partial information people become things like antivaxers and believing the only reason vaccines are a thing is to keep pharmaceutical companies in business. Never underestimate human ignorance and stupidity.

wow, so in your world who gets to decide the truth and who gets to decide who is stupid? are you aware that the healthcare system in the US is the third largest cause of death in the US each year? an estimated 240,000 deaths per year? all on doctors orders that were either incorrect or misapplied! i do not consider myself to be an antivaxer but i do think i have the right to decide on a case by case what is given to me and my loved ones.

I think your figure is wrong, the global rate (2013) was only 140,000 world wide. How can the US figure be 240,000. Alarmist I think! A medical error is a preventable adverse effect of care ("iatrogenesis"), whether or not it is evident or harmful to the patient. This might include an inaccurate or incomplete diagnosis or treatment of a disease, injury, syndrome, behavior, infection, or other ailment. Globally, it is estimated that 142,000 people died in 2013 from adverse effects of medical treatment; this is an increase from 94,000 in 1990.[1] However, a 2016 study of the number of deaths that were a result of medical error in the U.S. placed the yearly death rate in the U.S. alone at 251,454 deaths, which suggests that the 2013 global estimation may not be accurate

hahaahha, you may be right my friend. or you may be wrong. "hospital safety grade" in the US quotes research in 2013 suggesting the figure is 440,000 in the US alone. you are suggesting it is alarmist but if i read your post correctly you are also quoting a study in 2016 suggesting 251,000 ? keep in mind that deaths are only one issue. cost and impairment as a result of errors that do not result in death may be more significant. every procedure and every dose of medicine carries a risk. no organization, and especially hospitals, deliberately or willingly hangs out their dirty laundry for your inspection. i am an alarmist when it comes to surrendering your own judgement and blindly following those who profit from your illness. they now take about seventeen percent of every dollar of GNP in the US. when i was in my heathcare administration program in the early seventies, it was 8 percent. of course they do not intend to harm you deliberately, but the system rewards them well for everything they do. just fight to reserve your personal independence when it comes to matters of health for you and your family. use your own judgement and don't be afraid to challenge the system if you do not agree with it. the truth should be available to all of us
